Youth Mentoring
Youth Tennis
The Amigos Tennis program is dedicated to providing underserved Latinx youth with the opportunity to be physically active, learn tennis skills, build self-esteem, develop teamwork skills and healthy eating habits. We emphasize mentorship and parental involvement. Our program consists of Beginners, Intermediates, Future Stars and the more advanced Club de Tennis. The Youth Tennis program meets throughout the year.
Latinx Leadership Program
The Latinx Leadership Program provides high-quality out-of-school programming for underserved Latinx youth from grades 5 to 12. Students meet twice a week to focus on academic improvement, social-emotional learning, English language, and college/career pathways. Students also participate in the Amigos Summer Camp.
Adult Empowerment
English Language Program
Amigos provides English Language instruction to improve language skills in order to participate actively in the local community, to further education, and to gain employment. Our classes are taught by trained instructors and are open to anyone who wants to learn English. Currently our classes are offered in-person and virtually throughout the year.
Social Service Assistance
VOCA Program
The Amigos VOCA program provides Latina women and their children with culturally appropriate education, advocacy, case management, and connects them with resources for Emergency Assistance in order to help end domestic violence for this vulnerable population.
Basic Needs Program
The Basic Needs program provides families with food, basic hygiene supplies, rent/utility assistance, furniture, referrals for social/legal services and dissemination of critical information. Amigos hosts an annual toy drive and holiday celebration for the Latinx children and their families.
